JAMMU, May 8: The life saving surgery of brain hemorrhage of a Jammu based patient was performed at KD Hospital, Amritsar.
The patient namely Krishan Kumar (66) with history of a large brain hemorrhage was referred from Jammu to KD Hospital, Amritsar. He was on ventilator and there were very less chances of his survival. Dr Dushyant Sharma (Neurosurgery) at KD Hospital examined the patient and decided to performed surgery.
After getting go ahead from the family members of the patient, Dr Sharma operated the patient successfully and the patient is doing well post-surgery.
Dr Sharma said that the patient had come to us with a large cerebellar bleed due to hypertension and deeply comatose but he is doing well after the surgery. He said that surgical intervention in cerebellar bleeds can give good results.
He said that KD Hospital is a Neuro Superspecialty Hospital with world class infrastructure, facilities and talented doctors and such surgeries are done routinely in the Hospital.
