Light drizzle delays second days play

BENGALURU : The second day’s play of the second test between India and South Africa played at M Chinnaswamy stadium here today, was delayed due to rain.

Umpires asked the covers to be on this morning as city experienced light drizzle, while gloomy conditions prevailed. However, the two teams have agreed to play under lights in case of bad light conditions.

The umpires will take the next call at 10.30 hrs about the resumption of the game.

India, who lead 1-0 in the four-match series, had gained upper hand on the first day scoring 80 without loss after skittling out South Africa for 214 in the first innings on the opening day yesterday. (UNI)
