UDHAMPUR, May 11: A teen-aged boy was killed in lightning incident in remote Basantgarh area of district Udhampur last night.
A police spokesman said that incident took place near Raslithakran village in Basantgarh Sub Division at around 2.30 am. The 14-year-old Joginder Kumar was died on the spot while found other members received minor injuries. Some house hold goods were also demaged in the incident.
The police party from Basantgarh Police Station visited the area and handed over the body to the family after completion of legal formalities. The injured were provided first- aid at local hospital, the police said.
