KATHUA, Nov 22- A lineman was killed while two other daily wagers injured after a pole fell down when they were engaged in clearing some trees touching the live electric wires in Hiranagar area today.
Reports said the mishap took place when PDD daily wager Dewan Chand, son of Ram Lal of Gurha Mundian and two other workers were cutting trees/ branches at Patarasana village in tehsil Hiranagar. During the process a tree fell on the wires and with its impact a pole fell down. The pole hit Dewan Chand on head and he died on the spot. The two workers also sustained injuries.
The police registered a case in this connection against the concerned staff and started investigation.
