UDHAMPUR, Sept 19: A daily wager working as Lineman with the Power Development Department (PDD) died of electrocution while working on an electric pole at village Falata in Rehambal, here today.
The deceased was identified as Shah Mohd (54), son of Qasim, resident of Upper Garnai in Udhampur. He received a severe electric shock from main power supply line while doing some electric work on the electric pole and reportedly died on the spot.
The deceased was working as Lineman (daily wager) in the PDD . Police have taken cognizance of the matter and started inquest proceedings under section 194 BNSS.
