JAMMU, Jan 12: A Lineman of Power Development Department (PDD) was injured today due to electrocution in Janipur area of city outskirts.
“Karan Singh (55) son of late Shailo Ram, resident of 2/76 Shant Nagar (Janipur) received severe electric shock while he was engaged in some repair work on a electric police at lane number 1, Lakkar Mandi, Janipur,” Police sources said.
They said due to electric shock, the Lineman fell down from the electric police and received serious injuries. “The injured man was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where his condition was stated to be critical when the last reports came in,” sources said.
Janipur Police had taken cognizance of the matter.
