JAMMU, Aug 1: Demanding inquiry into three deaths of PDD/PDL workers occurred due to negligence in just last one month, the All J&K Electric Department Linemen & Workers Union has demanded full compensation for the families of the deceased workers.
In a meeting of the Union held here today under the leadership of its president, Ashiq Hussain, the members expressed shock over the death of a PDL worker while he was working on 11 KV line in Green Belt Sub Division Gandhinagar.
They demanded a high level inquiry onto the lapse as three incidents took place in Elect Div-II, only due to negligence. They also demanded full compensation for the families of the deceased workers and job for a family member under SRO-43.
They also demanded regularization of temporary workers and clearance.
