Lions Club organises free eye check up camp

SAMBA, Nov 7: Lions Club Samba organized a free eye operation camp at Dina Nath Memorial Hall near New Bus Stand area of Samba today.
The camp was held under the presidentship of Pawan Verma, president, Lions Club Samba International.
Deputy Commissioner Samba, Rohit Khajuria was chief guest on the occasion and he inaugurated the camp whereas ADC Samba, Dr. Vikas Gupta, CMO Samba, Rajinder Samyal and president Rajput Sabha Samba, Inder Singh were also present.
During the Camp 200 patients were examined by a team of doctors and paramedical staff headed by Doctor Parmila Kumari and  Dr.Suresh Sharma in which 20 patients were identified for operation at District Hospital Samba on November 8. Post operation care and check up will be done with the necessary diet, medicine and medical care by the Lions Club Samba.
President Lions Club, Pawan Verma with his team rendered full service in the camp. While addressing the gathering president of the Club requested the concerned authorities to provide adequate staff for proper functioning of the district Hospital Samba.
While speaking on the occasion, DC Samba Rohit Khajuria said Lions Club Samba International took a great initiative for the sake of poor people who are not able to pay for the eye operation.
Others who were present included Lion Sita Ram Sapolia ,Lion Adv. Vijay Gupta,  Lion Amardeep Singh, Lion Rakesh Singh ,Lion Naresh Chandel, many other members were present there.
