JAMMU, Nov 18: On third day of ‘Display Your Talent-2023’ being organized by Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu, literary event, elocution and fine arts events of collage making, poster making and Rangoli were conducted.
Dean Students Welfare, Prof. Prakash Antahal, Chairperson Campus Cultural Committee, Prof. Monika Chadha, Co-Chairperson Campus Cultural Committee, Prof. Sarika Manhas along with judges, dignitaries and Teachers In-charge felicitated the winners.
In Collage Making, students created wonderful collages on topics ‘Technology for Future, NEP 2020 and Women-heroes & leaders of India’.
Bharti Verma from IMFA stood first and certificates of merit were awarded to Preeti Sharma from Jammu Institute of Ayurveda and Research, Avantika Mahajan from The Law School, JU and Nikhil Singh from IMFA.
M.A Alnasir, M.A Almansoor and Savera Jamwal were adjudicators and Dr. Nisha Kapoor was Teacher Incharge of the event.
In Elocution, students presented eloquent speeches on relevant topics. Naqiya Bushra and Shreen Zehra from KC Law College secured first and second positions. Idrees Fahali from the Department of Journalism & Media Studies, JU stood third.
Certificates of Merit were awarded to Ashmit Jandyal from SHTM, JU, Bhavya Dev Singh from Department of Economics, JU and Nipun Sharma from DD & OE, JU.
Prof. Parmeshwari Sharma, Dr. Indu Kilam and Naveen Chopra were adjudicators and Dr. Garima Gupta and Dr. Bandana were Teacher Incharges of the event.
In Poster Making, students were given topics ‘India in Space’, ‘Cricket Passion in Youth’ and ‘Diversity and Inclusion’. The first and second positions were clinched by Skanda Sharma and Janvi, both from Institute of Music and Fine Arts. Deep Udey Singh from The Law School stood third.
Certificates of merit were awarded to Iram from Jammu Institute of Ayurveda and Research and Shalini Sharma from GDC Akhnoor.
Vijay Anand, Dr. Sanjay Sharma and Mahesh Sharma were adjudicators and Dr. Vimal Kishore was Teacher Incharge of the event.
In Rangoli event, students created vibrant creations depicting ‘Colours of India’. Shagun Kapoor from KC Law College, Chaman Lal from IMFA secured first and second positions respectively. Third position was shared by Sehjoy from DD & OE, JU and Isha Gupta from Department of Psychology, JU.
Certificates of merit were awarded to Monika Chouhan from IMFA and Sumriti Sharma from K.C Law College.
Dr. Pallavi Sachdeva and Dr. Rajbir Singh Sodhi were Teacher Incharges and Dr. Sanjay Sharma, Suresh Sharma and Mukul Magotra were adjudicators of the event.
