Srinagar, Dec 17: A live laparoscopic workshop was conducted at Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial Hospital here by Health Services Department.
The event included live operative workshop of advanced laparoscopic surgeries besides CME on Minimal Access Surgery.
Senior doctors from other states including Dr R Sarangi, Senior Laparoscopic Surgeon, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi and Dr Shalabh Mohan, Senior Laparoscopic Consultant, Max Hospital, Gurgaon, and Prof Muneer Khan, led the local operating faculty team which included Dr H Vaqar Ahmad, Dr Akhtar Ganai, and Dr Nazir Wani in the surgery.
The workshop and CME was attended by surgeons of Health Services Kashmir Division, surgical faculty of Government Medical College, Srinagar, SKIMS, SKIMS Medical College and a number of retired surgical faculties.
Director Health Services, Kashmir, Dr Saleem-ur-Rehman said these advancements in the health care in the state would benefit rural population as the same facility have been provided to some of the peripheral hospitals in districts.
