SAMBA, Sept 18: A live mortar shell of 51 mm was found by some youth near the Surada Bus Stand of Surada Panchayat of Ghagwal area of Samba district on Saturday evening which generated panic among locals.
The villagers informed the Ghagwal police and SHO Ghagwal Vijay Verma along with police team and bomb disposal squad rushed to the spot this morning and police team took the shell in its custody and later defused it at a safe place.
