Live mortar shell found, defused

POONCH, Nov 5: A live mortar shell was found at Ajote village of Poonch, which was later defused by bomb disposal squad of Police and Army.
Official sources said that the shell of 120 mortar gun was found when some locals were digging land in Ajote village.
On being informed by the villagers, a team of Police and army bomb disposal squad reached the spot and defused the shell after taking it to safe place. According to Police, the shell was most probably about two years old when there was shelling by Pakistan in this area.
