JAMMU, Sept 2: Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) J&K president Rafiq Malik today said that the Party committed to safeguard the socio-economic and legal rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
He demanded that the process of delimitation should be expedited as it can catalyze the electoral process in J&K. Malik was speaking during a party programme in Jammu during which Sat Singh of Reasi and Parmjeet Singh of Rajouri joined the Party in the presence of senior party leaders including Varun Bali (J&K senior vice president), RP Singh (J&K general secretary), Mulkh Raj (J&K president Labour Cell), Ajay Raina (J&K secretary Labour Cell), Qadir Malik (J&K Youth general secretary) and Faisal Manhas (vice youth president Jammu Province).
Malik said that after getting disappointed and badly hurt by policies of both national and regional political parties, J&K youth in good number is joining Lok Jan Shakti Party due to visible track record of development and pro-people initiatives taken by national leadership of the Party. He also reiterated LJP’s demand for restoration of Statehood and early elections in J&K.
He said different political parties are trying to keep the people away from development-based politics through its hollow and emotional slogans. It is only because they don’t want to be held accountable for their dismal failures and historical blunders committed from time to time for the sake of power,” he alleged.
The LJP president also raised serious concerns over the exponential increase in unemployment rates while seeking stern actions against those involved in corruption irrespective of their position and status. He said regularization of casual laborers, daily wagers, ITI Skilled, need based, HDF, NYCs, Computer Operators and consolidated workers is a must.
