JAMMU, July 5: The J&K unit of the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) today commemorated the 78th birth anniversary of Late Ram Vilas Paswan, founder of LJP, by paying him homage in a solemn function held at the Party Office in Jammu.
The event was marked by the presence of several prominent party leaders and workers, led by Rafiq Malik, President of LJP J&K, and Vikram Singh, General Secretary of LJP J&K. The gathering paid tribute to Ram Vilas Paswan, recognizing his immense contributions to Indian politics and his unwavering dedication to the upliftment of marginalized communities.
In his address, Rafiq Malik highlighted the significant impact Ram Vilas Paswan had on Indian society. “Ram Vilas Paswan was a visionary leader whose efforts towards social justice and equality have left an indelible mark on our nation. His commitment to the welfare of the downtrodden and his relentless fight for the rights of the underprivileged continue to inspire us all,” he said.
Vikram Singh, General Secretary (Org) of LJP J&K, also spoke on the occasion, emphasizing the enduring relevance of Paswan’s principles. “Ram Vilas Paswan’s life and work are a testament to the power of dedication and perseverance. His journey from humble beginnings to becoming a key figure in Indian politics is a source of inspiration for every member of our party. Today, as we honor his memory, we reaffirm our commitment to the ideals he stood for – social justice, inclusivity, and development for all. Let us work together to ensure that is vision for a better India is realized,” he said.
The event witnessed active participation from other office bearers and party workers who shared their thoughts and memories of the late leader, underscoring the profound impact he had on their lives and political careers.
