JAMMU, Sept 1: Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) Parliamentary Board will finalise the candidates for contesting Assembly elections in J&K.
This was informed by the Arvind Kumar Bajpai, National Senior Vice President LJP(R) addressing a press conference held here today.
Addressing to the media persons, Bajpai said that today nearly forty potential candidates were interviewed, who are very much capable to contest Assembly elections in J&K, but the final decision will be taken by Chirag Paswan.
He said LJP is committed to addressing the concerns of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and ensuring that their voices are heard in the upcoming elections.
Bajpai further said that LJP is a party of the people and for the people who want to serve the nation in a transparent way and to strengthen the roots of our world famous democracy with a secular fabric.
“It is due to the credibility of the party that the youth, students and right thinking people want to work for the party under the most trusted and matured leadership of Chirag Paswan,” he said and added that LJP is committed to provide a vibrant platform to youths to play their designated role in the state polity and help in shaping its politico-economic destiny.
Rafiq Malik State President LJP J&K UT said that people expecting an early restoration of Statehood ahead of Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir but same was unnecessarily put on hold.
“LJP believes in the service of people and has from day one pursued the issues that matter the most for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The party will never compromise on its socio-economic and political agenda and will ensure that whatever has been promised is delivered on the ground,” he said.
