JAMMU, Oct 15: Acting swiftly on the complaint of a consumer, a team of Legal Metrology Department under the supervision of Joint Controller Legal Metrology Jammu V S Sambyal inspected various fast food restaurants and café outlets at Bahu Plaza and Gole market.
Legal Metrology Officer Jammu Lower Mohsin Khateeb on inspection observed that Nescafe outlets at Bahu Plaza and Gole Market were cheating the gullible consumers by delivering less quantity of cold refresher Frappe by 100 ml against declared quantity of 230 ml. The outlets were booked for violation of various provisions of Jammu & Kashmir Weights & Measures (Enforcement) Act and rules.
The proprietor of the outlets has been directed to report in the office of the Joint Controller Legal Metrology Jammu for further legal action.
