JAMMU, Sept 1: Acting on the complaints from consumers that management of Wave Mall is charging money on pretext of parking charges of vehicles from the customers visiting the premises, Department of Legal Metrology today served a notice to the management under the J&K Consumers Protection Act 1987.
The management has been asked to stop charging parking fee from the customers as every commercial building is mandated to have a parking space based on build up area.
Pertinently every commercial building is mandated to have a parking space based on build up area and collecting parking charges from customer is an unfair trade practice and a restrictive trade practice as well.
