SAMBA, Oct 19: A team of Legal Metrology Department (LMD) today conducted extensive market checking in Ghagwal, Samba and Vijaypur area and imposed a fine of Rs 15,200 on defaulters.
The team of the LMD led by Assistant Controller, Anita Sharma, assisted by Inspector Narinder Kumar inspected various commercial establishments including, a flour and an oil mill besides a gas agency at Bari Brahmana, Vijaypur, Samba and Ghagwal in the district today. They booked owners of over a dozen establishments under various provisions of Weights and Measures Laws. A fine of Rs 15,200 was imposed and realized on the spot from the defaulters.
