JAMMU, May 10: The Legal Metrology Department (LMD), conducted checking in various business estabalishments/ shops in Jammu and recovered Rs 5 lakh as fine from the 171 traders for various violations.
Official sources said that the teams under the supervision of V S Sambyal, Jt Controller LMD during inspections of 807 traders dealing in fruits, vegetables, Kiryana, milk, cheese and packed goods in Jammu, imposed fine on 171 traders for various violations. A penality/ fine of of Rs 5 lakh was imposed on the traders for violation.
