KISHTWAR, July 14: Three persons including two labourers and a driver were killed when the vehicle they were travelling in skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge in mountainous Kishtwar district today.

The ill fated load carrier vehicle bearing registration number JK17-6327 was carrying two persons and was moving near the under construction Kiru Hydel project when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it rolled down into a deep gorge.
Driver of the vehicle and other two persons travelling in it died on the spot.
SSP Kishtwar Khalil Ahmed Poswal informed that the deceased persons were employees of the under construction Keru power project.
Sources informed that all the deceased persons were residents of Kishtwar and were identified as Badal Kumar, 19, (driver of the vehicle), son of Ranjeet Singh, resident of Lower Bidda; Ashfaq Hussain, 25, son of Mohammad Ashraf Malik and Changu Ram, 38, son of Choor Singh, resident of Chingnanan Nagseni.
SHO Kishtwar, Abid Bukhari said that a case has been registered under relevant Sections of law in this regard and investigation started.
