JAMMU, June 17: Up in arms against bad condition of road from Dabreh to Mansar, locals of Kirmchi Mansar and Dabreh held a strong protest demonstration and blocked road for traffic. The protesting people raised slogans against district administration and the State Government. They said that condition of road from Dabreh to Mansar was worst because of which the entire stretch had become an accident prone area. Several times people brought this issue into the notice of district administration and local MLA but none of them took this issue seriously, they added.
During the protest, ex-Minister and senior Congress leader Jugal Kishore , who was on his way to village Mongari, also joined the protesters. While addressing the public, Jugal Kishore claimed that black topping of this road was done during his tenure as R & B Minister.
Later, a Police party headed by SHO Udhampur rushed to the spot and pacified the people to lift the protest dharna.
