UDHAMPUR, Aug 4: Locals protested at Barota against poor road connectivity from Udhampur to Barota, Udhampur to Khai and Bugtryan. Ramnagar to Barota, Battal, Dalsar, Chowki and Bainsta.
The protesters alleged that these roads have been totally ignored and despite protests by the people many times no steps were taken to renovate them. The concerned department has never bothered to look into the problem, they alleged.
There is no vehicular movement on these roads as they are in bad condition and school goers, employees and commuters are suffering a lot. The protesters also criticized the leaders for sleeping over these important issues.
