UDHAMPUR, Mar 18: Up in arms against non availability of adequate teaching staff at Government High School Marothi, locals of Panchayat Marathi and activists of All India Student Federation today staged a joint protest demonstration.
The protesters raised slogans against the School Education Department and said that no additional teaching staff was deployed in the school since its upgradation in 2010.
Many times we approached to the officials of School Education Department and deferent political leaders but got only false promises from them, they said .
“Only last week, AISF delegation met with Chief Education Officer who assured us to deploy two Master grade teachers in the school as soon as possible but no action has been taken so far,” said Surjeet Dhowan of AISF who and threatened to gherao the concerned officials if required teaching staff is not deployed immediately.
Hemraj, former Sarpanch of the area, urged the Education Deptt to fill up vacant posts of teachers in the school other they would have no option other than adopt agitational path.
The protest was joined by AISF activists and locals, including Govind Singh ( Numberdar Jig Panchayat) , Shankar Dass (former Panch), Mohd Ali, Rakesh Singh, Jatinder Singh, Vikram Singh, Pathi Shah, Narjeet Singh Narinder Singh, Kewal Singh, Lal Singh, Ashok Kumar, Bahur Ali, Bushan Kumar and others.
