UDHAMPUR, May 10: Locals of Udhampur have demanded improvement of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park, which is located in heart of the Udhampur town and where people come for the morning walk.
Even as the park remains packed with people from 5:00 in the morning to 8:00 at night, there is no regular Gardner, Watchman and Safai Karamchari in this park.
Local have appealed to the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to pay attention to this park and issue necessary instructions to the concerned authorities.
Locals have already formed a Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park Development Committee for highlighting the issue before CEO Municipal Council Udhampur and District Administration Udhampur seeking regular cleanliness and trimming of trees, repairing of benches, tiles, replacement of broken lights, repair of footpath etc but till date no one has paid attention to this.
Rakesh Kumar, Ashok Kumar, Romesh Gupta said that District Administration Udhampur and Municipal Council Udhampur have totally ignored this Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park, which is filled with garbage.
