UDHAMPUR, Jan 15: Expressing resentment over shifting of ration depot from Village Surni to Dalsar by the concerned dealer, a deputation of local public of village Surni met Tehsil Supply Officer (TSO) Ramnagar and apprised him about the difficulties and hardships being faced by them.
While interacting with TSO Ramnagar, Shiv Dev Singh Provincial General Secretary of JKNPP said that previously these people used to get their ration quota at their door steps at Surni and everything was going on smoothly but after election, the concerned dealer has shifted the ration depot to Dalsar, which is causing great inconvenience to the public of village Surni.
He added that the village Dalsar is at a distance of around 9 to 10 kilometers from Surni village and it is very difficult for the public to collect their ration quota every month from such a long distance.
The delegation requested the concerned TSO to direct the ration dealer to immediately reopen the ration depot at Surni instead of Dalsar.
TSO paid patient hearing to the issue and assured to fulfill their long pending demand at the earliest.
Among others present were Rameshwar Kumar, Geeta Devi, Suram Chand, Madan Lal, Thakar Dass, Pushpinder Singh, Dev Raj, Om Prakash, Shankar Dass, Kartar Chand, Krishan Lal, etc.
