REASI, May 30: A deputation of local people met Deputy Commissioner (DC) and apprised him about the problems being faced by them due to long power cuts.
The deputation told that the power crisis is at rise and the officials of PDD are not paying any heed towards that. Due to long power cuts, the students preparing for the forthcoming competitive exams are the worst sufferers.
They demanded curtailment of power cut hours, installation of electronic meters, removal of illegal connections, power supply from Salal Power Station and completion of Beela Grid Station.
DC gave patient hearing to the demands raised by the deputation and assured early redressal.
Those present were Sorab Mengi, Dheeraj Gupta, Vivek Anand, Nipun Anand, Abhineet Pandoh, Surinder Sharma, Ankush Nargotra, Karandev Singh, Rajesh Pandoh and Vishnu.
