UDHAMPUR, May 30: As the Udhampur town has been facing the water scarcity these days, people of Baarian, led by Congress leader Sumeet Magotra, marched towards Water Filling station at Dhar Road and warned the concerned PHE authorities against pick and choose method adopted by them in supply of the water.
They alleged that some localities were getting water for 15 minutes while some others were being supplied water for an hour and there are some areas, where no supply is made for days together. Magotra warned the PHE authorities that if this pick and choose policy is not stopped, the people will be forced to adopt agitation path.
Following the warning, PHE officials, accompanied by Magotra and others, visited the worst affected localities and assured regular supply of water.
