JAMMU, Apr 30: A Lok Adalat was held in the District Court Complex Kathua under the chairmanship of M K Hanjura, Chairman, District Legal Services Authority (Principal District and Sessions Judge) Kathua.
The bench comprising of M K Hanjura, Chairman District Legal Services Authority and S C Katal, Chief Judicial Magistrate, decided 8 cases of Motor Accident claims on the spot and an amount of Rs 28,28,000 was awarded in the favour of claimants.
Another Lok Adalat was organized at District Court Complex Ramban. A bench comprising M A Chowdhary, Principal District and Sessions Judge, M R Chak, Sub-Judge (CJM) Ramban and Arun Kotwal Munsiff Ramban disposed of six cases by mediation and reconciliation.
