JAMMU, Aug 28: A Lok Adalat-cum-Legal Awareness Camp was organized by Tehsil Legal Services Committee Hiranagar under the chairmanship of Preet Simran Kour (chairperson) Tehsil Legal Services Committee, Hiranagar in premises of the Court complex, Hiranagar.
To settle the cases in the Lok Adalat, a bench comprising of Munsif JMIC, Hiranagar, Preet Simran Kour, senior advocates, Thakur Ranjit Singh and Naresh Kumar Gupta was constituted.
Total 13 cases were taken up in Lok Adalat out of which 11 cases were settled. Senior P O Jai Pal Singh was also present on behalf of the prosecution.
The main objective of the camp was to make women, children and senior citizens aware of their constitutional rights.
