KATHUA, Sept 28: A Lok Adalat was held today at District Court Complex under the chairmanship Pr. District & Sessions Judge and Chairman District Legal Services Authority, Sanjeev Gupta.
To settle the cases in the Lok Adalat two benches were constituted. Bench No. 1 comprised of Pr. District & Sessions Judge, Sanjeev Gupta and Addl. District & Sessions Judge Sikander Azam Choudhary. Bench No. 2 comprised of Spl. Mobile Magistrate, Sunil Sangra and Munsiff JMIC, Preet Simran Kour.
A total 10 cases including five MACT, one Bank case, one 138 NI Act, two criminal compoundable and one Municipal Act case were settled and disposed off. Settlement amount of Rs. 9995000 was also passed in favour of the petitioners.
