Lok Adalat, Legal Awareness Camps held

JAMMU, Sept 30: Lok Adalat and Legal Awareness Camps were held at Ramnagar, Kathua and Leh.
Tehsil Legal Services Committee (TLSC) Ramnagar under the chairmanship of Sub Judge Ramnagar, Renu Dogra who is also Chairman Tehsil Legal Services Committee organised a Lok Adalat at court complex Ramnagar.
A total of four cases were taken up in the Lok Adalat, out of which two case were settled on spot.
Meanwhile, on the direction of Chairman, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Kathua Puneet Gupta, a Legal Awareness Camp was organised at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Kathua on the topic “Protection of Women and Girl Children from Sexual Harassment and techniques of Self Defence”. On the occasion, Retainers Lawyers Advocate Ajat Shatru Sharma, Advocate Sunita Devi and Advocate Deepak Sharma of DLSA Kathua expressed their views on the topic. Principal of the School Omita Siortra, para legal volunteers, staff of the school and students were also present.
Tehsil Legal Service Committee Leh organized a Legal Awareness Programme in connection with laws and scheme relating to children welfare at Government High School Thiksay today. The progarmme was organized under the chairmanship of Rajinder Sapru, Principal District and Sessions Judge Leh. Phuntsog Angmo, Special Mobile Magistrate Leh presented the welcome address. Rajinder Sapru, CDPO Leh  Padma Angmo, Medical Officer Dr Padma, Gonbo Stobgail, President Bar Association Le, Jawad Ranbirpur Sarpanch, Shekh Zinul Abidin and four students from school spoke on various topic regarding schemes and law relating to children welfare and also highlighted the benefit of legal awareness camp.
