Sir,
The recent bypoll results in Bihar and UP where BJP lost all the three Lok Sabha seats is certainly an eye opener for the nationalist party. In Bihar, the Araria Lok Sabha seat went to Lalu’s party RJD, a severe blow to JD(U)-BJP alliance. However, the results in UP are even more shocking for BJP. These are so because loosing Gorakphur and Phulpur Lok Sabha seats which were earlier represented by UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Deputy CM Maurya certainly puts a question mark on the working of Yogi Government in UP. It is pertinent to mention here that during recent bypoll elections in UP the BSP completely backed SP candidates.
Samajwadi Party (SP) victory in bypoll certainly boosts the chances of anti-BJP coalition between arch-rivals (SP and BSP) in UP ahead of 2019 Parliamentary elections, a matter of worry for BJP. Well the BJP need to self introspect in order to find out the answer that the recent debacle in bypolls is either due to voters unhappiness towards the party or opposition unity working against them.
Yours etc….
