Lone NCC cadet from State selected for Commissioned Officer training

Srinagar, Feb 23: A National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadet, Javeed Ahmad Parrey, hailing from North Kashmir’s Bandipora district has made entire Valley proud by being selected to undergo training for Commissioned Officer in Indian Army.
A defence spokesman said here that Javeed is the only NCC cadet from the State to be selected for the 39th course of NCC Special Entry Scheme for Officers Training Academy in Chennai.
“He joined the NCC in 2011 and with hard work and selfless dedication, he made his way to this success by undergoing NCC training and qualifying for ‘B’ and ‘C’ certificate under NCC Group Headquarters Srinagar,” the spokesman said. He said the Group Commander of  NCC Group Headquarters Srinagar, Brigadier SS Ratanaparkhi, has played a pivoted role in guiding and coaching NCC cadet Javeed.
The Group Commander on this occasion expressed his gratitude towards Chinar Corps for being instrumental in providing SSB coaching to the cadet at Badamai Bagh Cantonment, the defence spokesman said, adding that the NCC Group Headquarter Srinagar is confident that this particular success will make the NCC more popular among youth of Kashmir valley and more number of students will come forward to join NCC in the future.
