JAMMU, Nov 4: Minister for Higher Education Mohammad Akbar Lone today paid a visit to the Government Gandhi Memorial Science College to review the functioning of the institution.
He also inspected the ongoing development works in the college and directed the concerned executing agencies to ensure timely completion of the works. He directed R&B authorities to take up the blacktopping of roads in the college and asked JMC to ensure proper hygiene in the premises.
He exhorted teachers to accomplish their duties with dedication to provide quality education and moral values to the students.
Minister said that all efforts are being made to develop infrastructure in educational institutions and provide conducive atmosphere for the overall development of the students.
Principal of the College Dr. Satinder Singh informed the Minister that the NAAC team is visiting to assess the ongoing development works in the college from November 20.
Minister was accompanied by Secretary Higher Education Sheikh Mushtaq Ahmed, Director Higher Education Tariq Ahmad Kawoosa and other senior officers of concerned department.
