SRINAGAR, Sept 9: On Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh’s four-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir, former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today said, ”we are looking forward to seeing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s August 15 speech on Kashmir acted upon”.
Modi during his Independence Day speech from Red Fort had said, “Na goli se na gaali se, Kashmir ki samasya suljhegi gale lagane se (Kashmir’s problems can be solved only with embracing the people of Kashmir, not with bullets or abuses.)”
“Na goli say na gaali say, galay lagane say J&K ka masla hal hoga. We look forward to seeing these words from Red Fort on 15th August acted on,” wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.
Omar was responding to the Union Home Minister’s tweet which read, “I am going there with an open mind and I am willing to meet anyone who will help us in finding solutions to problems facing J&K.”
