Lowest 415 pay obeisance at holy cave

SRINAGAR: The lowest number of 415 yatries today paid obeisance at the holy cave shrine of Amarnath in south Kashmir, where so far about 2.57 lakh pilgrims had darshan since the commencement of the 40-day-long pilgrimage from June 29.

A yatra official said that despite rain and cloudy weather pilgrimage to holy cave shrine from shortest Baltal and traditional Pahalgam tracks continued on the 35th day of the Yatra today when 415 Yatris paid obeisance.

With this a total of 2,56,776 Yatris had darshan at the Holy Cave, where the annual pilgrimage will conclude on August 7 when the Chhari Mubarak, holy Mace of Lord Shiva will be taken inside for final darshan. The Chhari, which was taken from Amreshwar temple Deshnami Akhara this morning has since reached Pahalgam this evening. (AGENCIES)
