Jammu, Oct 27: All J&K Low Paid Govt Employees Federation (LPEF) has criticized the Government for its decision on regularizing daily-rated/ consolidated workers after ten years instead of seven years and that too, in phased manner.
In a press statement issued here today, president of the Federation Abdul Majid Khan though described this move as achievement of the agitating workers but at the same time he strongly criticized the State Government for its decision regarding their regularization after ten years instead of already fixed seven years. He said in 1984 daily wagers were regularized even after five years of service. He demanded that all the daily wagers and other consolidated / contractual workers be regularized after seven years.
Mr Khan further alleged that Government was silent over the burning issues of employees including teachers, ReTs, Education Volunteers village Guards, Numberdars, Anganwadi workers, helpers etc. He also demanded release of 10% and 7% DA installments due from January and July 2014 and balance arrears of 6th Pay Commission, Rs 1000 Medical allowance in favour of employees and pensioners.
