LPEF highlights demands

UDHAMPUR, Oct 24: All J&K Low Paid Employees Federation (LPEF) held a meeting under the chairmanship of its president Abdul Majid Khan and criticized the anti-working policies of the Central and the State Governments due to which the prices of the essential commodities are touching sky.
He also criticized the apathetic attitude of the State Government towards genuine demands of employees and pensioners.
Khan demanded immediate release of 10 per cent DA pending from July in cash on Central pattern, payment of 3rd installment of 6th Pay Commission, payment of 6 per cent DA for the period from January to June 2009, enhancement of medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1,000 per month, raising retirement age to 60 years, regularization of daily wagers and raising of minimum daily wage to Rs 250 per day.
Bansi Lal Khajuira, senior local leader of the federation was also present on the occasion.
