LPEF leader bereaved

SRINAGAR, May 8: Haji Abdul Rehman Mir, father of veteran trade unionist of the State and General Secretary Low Paid Government Employees Federation, Mir Ghulam Rasool Butwani breathed his last yesterday after a brief illness. He was 90.
He was buried at his ancestral grave -yard in village Butwani in Ganderbal district. People from all walks of life including the leaders of LPEF and Kashmir Electric Employees and Workers Association (KEEWA) attended his funeral procession.
Haji Rehman a social activist and a progressive leader had also taken part in freedom struggle during late forties. The trade unionists of the State have expressed shock and grief over the demise of Haji.
