LPEF projects demands

JAMMU, May 10: Low Paid Employees Federation (LPEF) has urged upon the State Govt to implement 7th Pay Commission report in the State on the pattern of Central Govt without any delay and also enhance the medical allowance of the employees and pensioners from Rs 300 to at least Rs 2000 per month.
In a meeting of the Federation held at Akhnoor under the leadership of Babu Ram Sharma, president of the local unit, the members expressed serious concern over the delay being caused in the implementation of 6th Pay Commission recommendations. They said that due to sharp rise in the price of every item, the low paid employees are facing the brunt. They demanded that Govt should also provide two pending DA installments and also enhance the medical allowance of the employees and pensioners to Rs 2000 per month. RC Bhagat, Thakur Dass, Bindra Ban, Mulakh Raj and several other persons attended the meeting.
