JAMMU, Mar 30: All J&K Low Paid Employee Federation (LPEF) led by its President Abdul Majid Khan met Divisional Commissioner Jammu Dr Pawan Kotwal.
While speaking, Khan sought intervention of Divisional Commissioner to impress upon the Government to provide ration to those who have not so far been provided new ration cards prepared under National Food Security Act (NFSA).
He added that NFSA has been implemented in the State in hasty manner without issuing new ration cards to all the existing ration cards holder as majority of the people including employees, pensioners and other down trodden sections of society have been left out for the reasons best known to the authorities.
The deputation also urged Divisional Commissioner to issue wheat flour instead of wheat to the rationees particularly in urban areas where grinding machines are not available.
