DODA, May 17: A LPG cylinders carrying truck plunged into river chenab in Thathri resulting into on the spot death of the driver.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK02-2586 was on its way from Jammu to Kishtwar, when the driver lost control over the steering, resulting the vehicle plunged into river Chenab and on the spot death of the driver.
On getting information, police and locals rushed to the spot and retrieved the body of the deceased.
The deceased has been identified as Girdhari Lal, son of Amar Nath of RS Pura, Jammu.
After completing legal formalities, the body was handed over to family members for last rites.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Tahthri police station and investigation started.
