LPG dealers pulled up for not resuming home delivery

SRINAGAR, Dec 15: On the instructions of Secretary, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) Department, the field executives of Legal Metrology Department under the supervision of Deputy Controller (Enforcement) conducted surprise inspections of LPG agencies in some areas of downtown Srinagar.
A spokesman of the department said that the inspecting team booked one LPG dealer for charging Rs. 430 for the refill gas cylinder at the delivery point. The spokesman said that the LPG dealers were pulled up for not resuming the home delivery to the consumers in different areas of downtown Srinagar.
The spokesman also expressed concern that the LPG agencies have not opened extra-counters to ease the process of validating the documents of the consumers.
