SRINAGAR, Nov 19: A meeting of All J&K Low Paid Government Employees Federation of Jammu province was held under the leadership of Ishar Dass Sangra here, today.
The meeting highlighted the demands of the employees, pensioners and family pensioners which are pending before Government for a long time. The meeting said despite repeated pleas the Government did not concede these demands putting the employees and pensioners to hardships.
The meeting said since the new Government assumed office and the Federation is hopeful that it will fulfil its poll promises. The Federation further hoped that the genuine demands of the employees will also be considered and solved.
The Federation demanded constitution of 8th Pay Commission, release of three percent DA from January 2024 , release of pending DA of 18 months of Corona period, revival of Old Pension Scheme, release of Medical Allowance at the rate of Rs 1000 per month at par with Central and other UT Governments employees, conduct of DPC twice a year in each Department, regularisation of daily wagers, Anganwari workers, Asha workers, village guards, framing of a comprehensive policy for ReT teachers, increasing the honorarium of cooks engaged for mid day meal in schools and contingency paid workers honorarium from Rs 1000 per month be enhanced to Rs 10,000 and lifting of ban on trade union activities.
The meeting was attended by Kabla Singh, Anchal Dev Singh, Shakeel Ahmed Dev, Anil Verma, Jugal Sharma, R K Maini, Om Parkash Choudhary, Surjeet Singh, Hans Raj Sharma, Dwarka Nath, Amrik Singh, Amar Nath, Noor Hussain, Malik, Tasaraf Hussain Shaw and Babu Ram.
