JAMMU, July 3: Considering the interests of students and their parents of distant regions, Lovely Professional University has opened various Counselling Offices in all the States across India.
These offices are for easy access of students to get career- counseling and complete know-how about admission procedures and scholarship opportunities available at the university campus.
These arrangements have been made for the comforts and requests of the parents. Although all information and processes are available on the university website, yet sometimes parents want to have face to face interaction to understand the whole process.
At Jammu, the office has been opened at Hotel Samrat, near bus stand and Srinagar office is at Hotel Residency. The timings of the offices are also stretched from 10 am to 7 pm considering parents’ comforts to visit the office after their work hours.
LPU has also opened a Toll-free line 1800-102-4431 to provide support to parents and students.
LPU Chancellor Ashok Mittal informed “With the opening of Counselling Offices, LPU wants that students should take informed decision. We are getting positive feedback about these offices as hundreds of students are visiting these offices”.
Talking about LPU scholarship program, Mittal added “LPU has largest private scholarship program by strongly believing that financial constraints may not stop meritorious students in getting quality education. Students can avail scholarship till July 25. Since inception of this program, more than 25,000 top students of the country have been benefited”.
