NEW DELHI : The Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day after condoling the death of former Speaker P A Sangma, who died of a heart attack at his Delhi residence this morning. Soon after the House assembled for the day, Speaker Sumitra Mahajan informed the House about the demise of the 68-year-old former speaker and a nine-time Parliamentarian.
Ms Mahajan paid tributes to Sangma and the House observed silence for a while as mark of respect for the departed. Thereafter, she adjourned the House till March 8. (AGENCIES)
