UDHAMPUR, Nov 2: An Army officer was died as his Jeep fell into a deep gorge near Darsu on Dhar Road near Udhampur.
The deceased was identified as Lt. Col. K Siddarth Narayan, presently posted at Headquarters Chief Engineer, Air Force Station Udhampur.
A Defence spokesman said that officer was on way from Chandigarh to Udhampur on Sunday. He went missing during same night. On Monday, his unity personnel started searching for him and his vehicle could be traced lying in a deep gorge near Darsu last evening. After postmortem his body was sent for his home town today. The police has taken cognizance.
