JAMMU, Feb 17: Darshan Kumar Chauhan, general secretary, Ex-Central Paramilitary Forces Welfare Association has said that Lt Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu has given assurance to the CPFWA that the genuine demands of the paramilitary forces which falls within the J&K UT will be consider for its redressal.
” We met the Lt Governor GC Murmu at Raj Bhawan Jammu on February 12, 2020 and put forth the demands before him and the Lt Governor has given full assurance for the early redressal of the same,” Chauhan told reporters here today.
Highlighting the demands which were put forth before the Lt Governor, Chauhan said we demanded for the formation of statutory Paramilitary Welfare Board similar to Kendriya/Rajya Sainik Boards, extending proper medical treatment facilities at district level, extend all post retirement benefits on declaration of Ex-Central Para-Military Forces Status similar to Defense Force Ex-servicemen/widows and dependants, compassionate appointment for deceased and dependants who died/ disabled/missing while on duty at their respective states.
Besides these demands, he said issues of reservation of 2% quota for the wards of the CRPF, BSF, ITBP, SSB in Government job in J&K UT and reservation in educational Institutions 2% on the pattern of Himachal Pradesh State were also discussed.
Gurbachan Singh, District president Samba, Gurdyal Singh- District president Jammu, Krishal Singh Bist- joint secretary, Noor Mohd, Yashpaul, Lovely Pandita and others were also present in the conference.
