Starting from the Prime Minister, the President and some leading political leaders across the country in taking first dose of indigenously made COVID vaccine , Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha too got the first dose of the vaccine at the GMC , Jammu . This all needs to be seen at from the angle of instilling confidence in the people and on the occasion, the Lt. Governor while experiencing ”all smooth” at the vaccination centre has urged all the eligible to come forward and get vaccinated as it is ”fully safe”.
However, what is required is to make the process more smooth starting from the registration to actual inoculation. Common people generally are shy of doing it all through mobile Apps etc which could be sorted out by providing and arranging of registration etc at the respective hospitals too where vaccination facilities are provided. At the same time, it has to be borne in mind that the cases of fresh infections continue to pour in which only underlines the importance of getting vaccinated as per the schedule, arrangements and eligibilities decided by the Government. It also enjoins upon each of us to observe safety and precautionary protocol against the virus, as before.
