Lucknow court to deliver order on Salman Khan’s controversial statement on June 29

LUCKNOW, June 23:  A local court today fixed  June 29 to give its verdict on an application filed against Bollywood actor Salman Khan over his reported controversial statement.

The Chief Judicial Magistrate(CJM) Lucknow, while accepting the application of a social worker, Ms Rafat Jamal seeking lodging of a criminal case against the actor, fixed the order for June 29.

The lawyer of the petitioner Kuldeep Pandey said the court has admitted the application in which it was alleged that the statement of the actor had insulted the women of the country and he should be punished for it.

A similar case against Salman Khan had been filed in Kanpur too where orders were given to register FIR against  him under sections 294 ad 509 of the IPC for his controversial comment.

Salman is reported to have made the comments during an interview with an entertainment website spotboye.com to promote Sultan that tells the story of an ageing wrestler trying to make a comeback.

“When I used to walk out of the ring, after the shoot, I used to feel like a raped woman. I couldn’t walk straight,” the 50-year-old actor had said. (UNI)
